येड्या or 'Yedya' needs no introduction for a true punekar. For the rest, it has a different meaning altogether going by the dictionary, here in Pune it's used in several contexts. Be it calling someone out of love or to randomly discredit someone in just a word. The true meaning once uttered can be rightly guessed if you belong here, one of those few ones which are more than  mere words.
Painted on a wall on Sinhagad Road at the Dattawadi Junction, the wall was painted over during the Swachh Survekshan 2020 Campaign. Fortunately it has found a new and better canvas as a second life.
